St. Paul's Cathedral is a Church in Kolkata, Cathedral of Anglician background in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The cornerstone was laid in 1839; the building was completed in 1847. St. Paul's Cathedral is said to be the largest cathedral in Kolkata and the first Episcopal Church in Asia. The architectural design of the cathedral is "Indo-Gothic". 

It's an amazing place one should visit if they visit Kolkata. The church is beautifully decorated in every Christmas and New Year.

GANGASAGAR: The Aesthetic Beauty of Bengal

GANGASAGAR, a place of Hindu pilgrimage. Every year on the day of Makar Sankranti, hundreds and thousands of Hindus gather, to take a holy dip at the confluence of river Ganges and Bay of Bengal and offer prayers in the Kapil Muni Temple. A dip in the water at this place, during Gangasagar Mela, is considered to be extremely sacred. 

The second most popular Mela after Kumbh Mela is the Gangasagar Mela. It's India's biggest fair held in Sagardwip, West Bengal and witness a large number of people pouring in. Celebrated with great vigour and enthusiasm, the festival has a cultural and spiritual significance. 

One of the main centre of attraction of Gangasagar Mela is the assembly of Naga Sadhus. The Naga Babas or Naga Sadhus, literally meaning 'Naked Yogis', are a part of the Shaivite sadhus. The origin of the Naga way of life is supposed to date back to the Treta Yug, founded by Dattatreya, but they were structured together into an order by Adi Shankaracharya.
